Don Murray is a partner in the New York City Criminal Defense law firm Shalley and Murray.  Mr. Murray has been defending people accused of crimes in New York City for more than 20 years.  Mr. Murray attended Williams College and then University of Florida College of Law, where he graduated with honors in 1989.  Mr. Murray became interested in criminal defense while clerking for a nationally known and respected Criminal Defense Lawyer from Florida.

Mr. Murray came to New York City in 1990 to work as a trial lawyer for The Legal Aid Society.  While at the Legal Aid Society, Mr. Murray published a chapter on the cross examination of witnesses with prior convictions in the series of books Criminal Defense Techniques, a series of reference volumes used by criminal defense lawyers.  In 1996, Mr. Murray left the Legal Aid Society to form Shalley and Murray, a law firm with a practice limited to criminal defense.

Shalley and Murray quickly became established as a provider of high quality criminal defense services in all the courts of New York City and Nassau County.  Eventually, Shalley and Murray opened up an additional office in Westchester County, defending people accused of crimes in the various courts of Westchester and Putnam Counties.  With a criminal defense career in New York City spanning more than 20 years, Mr. Murray has handled an enormous number of criminal matters from the least to the most serious, including countless domestic violence accusations.
